The Botanist
The Botanist is a unique Islay Dry Gin produced by the Bruichladdich distillery. Its uniqueness stems from its use of 22 foraged botanicals—including mugwort, meadowsweet, and bog myrtle—that are hand-picked on the island of Islay. These are slow-distilled in a rare 'Lomond' pot still at low pressure for over 17 hours. This artisanal approach results in a gin that is incredibly complex, floral, and herbaceous, capturing the 'terroir' of the Hebrides. It is a highly respected spirit that bridges the gap between the world of single malt and craft gin, celebrated for its depth and purity.
