Monkey Shoulder
Monkey Shoulder is a 'Vatted' or Blended Malt Scotch whisky that was specifically created to disrupt the stuffy image of the industry. Its uniqueness lies in its composition: a marriage of three different Speyside single malts (traditionally Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie). The name pays tribute to the 'monkey shoulder' injury that distillery workers used to suffer from manually turning malted barley. Designed by bartenders, it offers a rich, vanilla-forward, and incredibly smooth profile that is specifically engineered for mixing in cocktails like the 'Old Fashioned,' while still being complex enough to enjoy neat.
