Laphroaig

Laphroaig is arguably the most polarising and distinctive of all Islay whiskies, famously described as 'tasting of the sea.' Its uniqueness comes from its hand-cut peat and its traditional floor maltings, which result in a spirit that is heavily medicinal, smoky, and salty. The flavor profile is unmistakable, featuring notes of seaweed, iodine, and peat smoke. As the only whisky to carry a Royal Warrant from King Charles III, Laphroaig is a 'connoisseur's dram' that invites drinkers to 'love it or hate it,' maintaining a fiercely loyal community known as the Friends of Laphroaig who each own a square foot of the distillery's land.
