Kilbeggan
Kilbeggan is a historic Irish whiskey brand produced at the Kilbeggan Distillery, which is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in the world (est. 1757). Its uniqueness is found in its traditional 'small batch' style and its use of a 180-year-old water wheel to power parts of the process. Unlike the triple-distilled norm in Ireland, Kilbeggan is double-distilled in ancient copper pot stills, resulting in a whiskey that is smooth but retains a robust, malty character and a touch of grain sweetness. It is a testament to the resilience and enduring heritage of the Irish whiskey industry.
