Kavalan

Kavalan is Taiwan’s first and most famous single malt distillery, located in Yilan County. Its uniqueness is driven by the sub-tropical climate, which causes the whisky to mature at an incredibly rapid rate compared to Scotland. This 'accelerated aging' results in a spirit that is exceptionally rich, dark, and complex even at a young age. Using pure water from the Snow Mountain, Kavalan has won numerous 'World's Best' awards, particularly for its 'Solist' series matured in diverse casks like Vinho Barrique and Sherry, proving that world-class whisky can thrive in the tropics.
