Glenallachie was a relatively obscure Speyside distillery until it was acquired by a consortium led by legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker in 2017. Its uniqueness now lies in Walker’s 'hand-on' management and his radical overhaul of the distillery's wood policy. By reducing production to focus on quality and investing heavily in premium Sherry and wine casks, Glenallachie has transformed into a 'flavor powerhouse.' The whisky is known for its rich, dark, and intensely fruity profile, quickly becoming a cult favorite for those who love big, sherry-matured single malts.
