Del Maguey
Founded by artist Ron Cooper in 1995, Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal is credited with introducing the world to artisanal mezcal. Its uniqueness is rooted in its 'Single Village' concept, where each bottling is named after the specific Zapotec Mexican village where it is produced using 400-year-old traditional methods. These mezcals are crafted by local 'palenqueros' using organic agave, wood fires, and clay or copper stills. This results in a diverse range of smokey, earthy, and complex spirits that are essentially liquid snapshots of specific Oaxacan micro-climates.
