Connemara

Produced by the Cooley Distillery, Connemara is the only widely available peated single malt Irish whiskey. Its uniqueness lies in its 'best of both worlds' approach; it combines the traditional double-distillation method of Ireland (which preserves more fruitiness than Scottish triple-distillation) with the heavy peat smoke typical of Islay Scotches. This creates a fascinating profile of 'smoky sweetness,' where honeyed malt and dried fruits meet a robust, earthy campfire smoke. It is a tribute to the ancient distilling traditions of the rugged Connemara region.
