Classic Malts
The Classic Malts of Scotland is a selection of six single malt whiskies launched by United Distillers (now Diageo) in 1988. This collection is unique because it was the first of its kind to curate whiskies based on their specific regional characteristics: Dalwhinnie (Highland), Talisker (Skye), Cragganmore (Speyside), Oban (West Highland), Lagavulin (Islay), and Glenkinchie (Lowland). By grouping these diverse profiles together, the brand helped educate a generation of drinkers on the 'map of flavors' that defines the varied landscape of Scotch whisky.
