Citadelle
Citadelle is often credited with sparking the French craft gin movement. Its uniqueness lies in its patented 'progressive infusion' method, where botanicals are added to the neutral spirit at different stages to preserve their individual aromatic profiles. It is distilled over an open flame in small copper pot stills at the Château de Bonbonnet, the same stills used for Pierre Ferrand Cognac. This artisanal approach yields a gin that is remarkably balanced, featuring nineteen botanicals that provide a complex journey from crisp juniper to spicy nutmeg and citrus.
