Bowmore

Established in 1779, Bowmore is the oldest licensed distillery on the island of Islay. Its uniqueness is anchored by its legendary 'No. 1 Vaults,' the world’s oldest maturation warehouse which sits below sea level. This maritime environment imparts a distinct salty tang to the whisky. Unlike its more aggressive neighbors, Bowmore is known for a perfectly balanced smoke profile, combining Islay peat with a rich, fruity sweetness and floral notes, often enhanced by extensive maturation in Sherry casks.
