Ballechin
Ballechin is the heavily peated expression produced at the Edradour distillery, Scotland’s smallest traditional distillery. It is unique because it revives the name of a long-lost farm distillery in Perthshire that closed in 1927. Unlike the medicinal smoke of Islay, Ballechin offers a thick, earthy, and farm-style smoke profile, often matured in experimental casks like Burgundy or Sherry to create a rich, multi-layered, and artisanal Highland peated whisky.
